Tomb Raider fans (and especially those who've played it on their PC) know that with the release of every Tomb Raider game, it would be possible for them to install a "nude patch" enabling them to see Lara Croft in all her splendor performing those nifty acrobatics of hers. More recently though, news about a new mod have been circulating on the Internet which, according to Gamesradar.com (not the Internet, but the mod) enables PC owners of the adventure title to throw any kind of costume over Lara's body (including a "birthday suit").

Of course, just like they did with any other Tomb Raider title, it didn't take modders long to come up with a patch of this sort for Tomb Raider Anniversary as well (which you can download right here), but most recently, according to the upper mentioned gaming site... "Now you can have Lara look any way you wish in TR: Anniversary (sorry console owners, you need the PC version to see Lara's birthday suit). [...] All you need is TexMod, and the costume files (with the extension .tpf)..."

Apparently, "you can use your own skills to create an outfit, or download pre-made togs," from this particular site, according to the same source. But I'll let you on a little secret. Eidos doesn't like this kind of thing. Yes, Lara nude and all that... The game's creator never agreed for Lara to be turned into a sex symbol and that's what they agreed on when he returned to carry out work on the game's latest installments - Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary.

But that won't stop you from throwing an old fashioned tight leather costume complete with whip and... toys on Lara, now will it? Didn't think so. Keep in mind though, this is just for PC owners of the game - such patches and mods have never been made available for console owners.
