Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that it's just rolled out a brand new patch for Titanfall on its multiplayer servers and that its huge amount of balance changes is already live inside the game's online matches.

Titanfall was launched at the beginning of the month to huge critical and sales acclaim, as millions of PC and Xbox One owners rushed to buy the multiplayer-only first-person shooter from Respawn Entertainment.

Since its release, the studio has made a few tweaks to the game, particularly to its anti-cheating system, in order to keep the online matches as fair and balanced as possible.

Now, the first full-fledged patch for Titanfall has already gone live on its multiplayer servers and its effects are already present inside the game.

A variety of balance changes are included in the new update. Weapons like the Smart Pistol are now weaker when hip-fired or not locked on. Dead Man's Trigger explosives are also slightly delayed and give a warning sound before exploding.

Mega Turrets have also received a few tweaks, as hacking them now restores their health while a bug that prevented players from hacking them has been solved.

Gameplay modes have also been fine-tuned, as Capture the Flag gives less points when returning your own flag or killing the enemy flag carrier. Defending hardpoints also gives out less points, while the Attrition score limit has been raised.
