Officials at the American space agency announce that a new test flight of the newest generation of robotic landers it is currently developing has been scheduled for November 4. The Robotic Lander Project seeks to develop spacecraft that could land autonomously on the Moon and Mars.

The reason why the November 4 test flight is so important is that it will see the spacecraft rising to an altitude of about 100 feet (30 meters), the highest it's ever been at since the program began. However, experts explain that the test is entirely dependent on the weather.

NASA representatives say that the flight test will occur at the US Army's Redstone Test Center on Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, Alabama. The Installation is located close to the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), SpaceRef reports.
