Like all its peers on the storage market, Team Group has been keeping tabs on all the segments of the IT market, and it seems that the memory card front is the next stop, the company having completed and officially introduced a microSDHC Class2 memory card of no less than 32GB.

Memory cards are used by practically all types of consumer electronics, from phones to high-end photo and video cameras.

Tablets, e-readers and other such products also often employ such solutions. Still, the software applications that these consumer devices can be loaded with constantly grow in size and number.

Thus, there is always room, and need, for larger-capacity memory cards, and Team Group was more than willing to oblige.

What the company did was create a microSDHC card with a very high capacity, 32GB to be exact, and which has the Class2 rating.

“The unlimited games and applications for Smartphone mobiles and Tablet PC have escalated the demand for high-capacity memory cards,”states the press release.

“To meet the market demand, Team officially launches the ultrahigh capacity 32GB Class2 microSDHC memory cards for consumers to have more fun with their Smartphone and ease all worries about storage for photography and filming,” the release adds.

Class2 defines a storage solution of this type that can write data at at least 2MB/s, and this should be more than enough for copying whatever documents, music, video and other files that end-users may wish.

The product does have other assets, of course, such as the ECC function (Error checking and correcting).

This comes in addition to the standard hardware protection switch and the upgradeable firmware.

“Along with the programmable firmware, the Team 32GB Class2 microSDHC is upgradable like mobiles, making it the best choice and perfect companion for mobile phone users,” states the official announcement.

Unfortunately, the hardware developer neglected to actually mention the price of the product.
