Even though it is probably trying to keep information leaks to a minimum, Toshiba still became the subject of a recent report, or at least its supposedly upcoming media tablets did.

As consumers know, media slates have already secured their own segment of the market, having even started to threaten netbooks.

This happened because most makers of PCs decided to join in at one point or another, despite initial reservations.

As one may have already guessed, Toshiba is one of said PC makers, and it seems that it will soon bring forth not one but several tablets.

As many times in the past, Digitimes managed to uncover some information about what one may expect to see in the future.

Basically, Toshiba is working on three distinct tablets, each of which will have different configurations and operating systems.

Two models will have screen sizes of 10.1 inches, while the third will be a bit larger, at 11.6 inches.

They will be promoted at extensions of PC products and will be demonstrated at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, 2011.

It is unknown what hardware each will possess, but the report did mention that, as far as the software goes, one slate will run Windows 7, one will use Google Android and the third will go for Chrome OS.

This practically means that at least one of them will be powered by the x86 architecture, hinting at either Intel Pine Trail or Oak Trail.

Finally, as a last bit of information, the rumor says that Toshiba will also deliver one or more smaller models, measuring 7 inches, but those will be more skin to smartphones than PCs.

All that is left is to wait for 2011 to start and for the Expo to finally kick off, at which point not only these, but many competing products will be on display.
