Nintendo knows that the Wii U home console needs high-profile content to stay relevant and the company aims to satisfy its core base by announcing the upcoming launch of New Super Luigi U, an expansion for New Super Mario Bros. U.

The downloadable content pack will include 82 new courses for Mario and Luigi fans to explore, all of them specifically designed to satisfy the most hardcore of players.

The jump height for the new protagonist is higher than that of his brother, but he is also slower when it comes to stopping after a dash move.

All the included levels will have 100-second timers, making them more challenging.

New Super Luigi U will be delivered in June on the Japanese market and the rest of the world will get it later during summer.
