Apple’s Special Deals section is featuring four Macintosh computers each priced at under $1,000, for whoever may be interested in acquiring a Server Mac mini, a White Unibody MacBook, an aluminum 13-inch Pro, or a 21.5-inch iMac.

The Refurbished Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ships with 4GB of standard memory, dual 500GB hard drives, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB memory, and Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server pre-installed.

The system retails for $749, which saves you some $250.00 (25% off) on the purchase of a new Mac.

Apple’s Refurbished MacBook 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo costs a tad more - $849 - but it’s still an offer to consider.

The computer boasts a 13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 2GB of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, a 250GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm hard drive, Apple’s 8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics.

For more processing power, a Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo priced at $929 is also available.

The laptop features the same 13.3-inch display, 2GB memory, just 160GB of storage, the 8x SuperDrive, an additional SD card slot, and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics.

Another plus this MacBook has over the White polycarbonate version include the illuminated keyboard. You save a substantial $270 by purchasing this Mac.

Finally, for the same price ($929), visitors of Apple’s online store can nab themselves the all-in-one iMac 21.5-inch 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

Also a refurbished unit, this computer delivers stunning visuals via the 21.5-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics solution it is equipped with.

The 4GB of memory, 500GB hard drive, 8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), and the Built-in iSight camera round up the list of features for this computer.

Apple isn’t preparing to just sit back and let anyone who wants to get the full potential out of the iPhone although it happens to be legal to jailbreak your iPhone. The Register reports that the technology giant has applied for a patent "covering an elaborate series of measures" that will "protect iPhone owners from thieves" and other non-authorized users. Jailbreaking will be a bit harder with the patent Apple wants called "Systems and Methods for Identifying Unauthorized Users of an Electronic Device," making sure jailbreaking locks down an iPhone.
