D-day is drawing near: the much-hyped remake of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is two months away from dropping into theaters, and Sony is busy promoting it – this time with a stunning photoshoot in Empire mag.
The shoot sees leads Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara in character as journalist Mikael Blomkvist and hacker / PI Lisbeth Salander, and it aims to illustrate the odd yet on some level functional relationship they have.
Craig and Mara also talk about their onscreen persona, with Mara saying she went to particular pains to portray such a deeply troubled individual as Salander is.
Directed by David Fincher, the film is a remake, based on the novel of the same name from the ever so popular “Millennium” trilogy.
The first trailers released somehow disappointed fans, prompting them to say the original film was better.
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is out in theaters on December 21, 2011.
