Valve has launched a new Beta version for its Steam for Linux client, featuring just a couple of small changes and fixes.

When a development version garners sufficient changes, Valve promotes it to stable, and the work for the next beta starts almost immediately. Highlights of the latest Steam for Linux Beta update:

• Downloading Steam cloud files via HTTP is now working correctly; • The game playtime info has been moved back next to launch button.

In order to get the latest update, users just have to start the application and make sure they’re enrolled in the Beta program. Also, this might be the last Beta release before the next stable one.
