It seems that Stealth PC thought it was time to offer a new small form factor system, so it came up with one that strives to cram all the necessary hardware inside an enclosure small enough to almost fit in the palm of one's hand.

The new ruggged SFF computer that the company put together is known as LPC-100M and has an aluminum enclosure that measures 102 x 155 x 37 mm.

Nevertheless, even in spite of this small size, it manages to integrate all the features that a system is supposed to have, from the CPU and graphics to the connectivity options.

At the heart of the configuration lies an Intel Celeron T3100 chip, whose clock speed is of 1.9 GHz, or a Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, which works at 2.26 GHz.

Whichever CPU is selected is backed up by a solid amount of memory, up to 8 GB of RAM (random access memory) to be exact.

There is also the GMA (graphics media accelerator) 4500MHD integrated graphics, which provides the required video capabilities.

Furthermore, storage space is brought to the mix by a hard disk drive with an internal capacity of up to 500 GB, although users more interested in speed can choose a SSD instead.

Other specifications include Gigabit Ethernet, DVI outputs and an ExpressCard slot.

All of this hardware is crammed inside the aforementioned chassis and weighs a total of 0.54 kg.

“One of the unique attributes the LPC-100M mobile computer possesses is a user selectable smart power control interface,”said Stealth CEO, Ed Boutilier.

“Start-up and shut-down times are user definable allowing for safe application launching along with a controlled shutdown period,” Boutilier added.

“This is absolutely critical in preventing data corruption when power sources are interrupted in mobile and field environments,” he went on to saying.

The device should be used in embedded, mobile and in-vehicle applications and has a starting price of $1,095.
