The LPC-480 is small enough to be moved around by hand

The new system that Stealth Computer has revealed isn't exactly a handheld computer, but it is small enough that owners will not necessarily require both hands to move it from place to place. That is actually the paradoxical part: the so-called LPC-480 mini PC is the company's most powerful small form factor computer, but it is still a “standard” computer.

That means that, despite how small it is, it won't lend itself to being moved around all the time, because it will need lots of cables sticking out of it at all times.

For those who want specifics, the back panel has four USB 3.0 ports, a pair of USB 2.0 connectors, a VGA output, a DVI video connector, Gigabit Ethernet, 2-RS232 Serial and Line In/Out Audio ports.

On the other hand, it is small enough to be hidden away. It can be an unobtrusive piece of equipment in a cubicle, or on office desks.

The “heart” of the PC is an Intel Core i7-3610QE CPU, one of the latest Ivy Bridge mobile chips (normally used in laptops). It is a quad-core, 8-thread model with 2.3 / 3.3. GHz frequency and 6 MB cache memory.

16 GB of DDR3 RAM back it up, while a 2.5-inch mobile hard drive or solid-state drive provides storage space.

Furthermore, Stealth Computer decided to include an optical drive as well (a slim DVD-RW/CD-RW default, a Blu-ray writer optional).

“Our new Stealth Model: LPC-480 is the most powerful and technologically advanced small form PC we have introduced to date,” stated Ed Boutilier, CEO of Stealth.com Inc.

“Our full featured machine utilizes the new third generation Intel Core i7 mobile processors and we truly believe it delivers the most processing power of any small form-factor computer available on the market today.”

Stealth Computer's LPC-480 Small Form computer has a starting price of $1,325 / 1,025-1,325 Euro.
