Electronic Arts' new Star Wars games that are currently in development at DICE and Visceral will be built using the new Frostbite 3 technology, according to its technical director.

EA surprised quite a lot of people yesterday when it confirmed that it has entered an exclusive agreement with Disney to create video games based on the Star Wars license.

The publisher quickly confirmed that not one, but two projects will appear from DICE, the studio behind the Battlefield series, and Visceral Games, the team behind the Dead Space one.

Now, Johan Andersson, the technical director responsible for DICE's Frostbite 3 technology, has confirmed on Twitter that both the DICE and the Visceral games will be powered by Frostbite 3.

The new titles join existing ones like Battlefield 4 or Dragon Age 3, which are already powered by Frostbite 3.
