A new “Star Trek Into Darkness” video has been released, offering a mere glimpse at the kind of danger the crew of the USS Enterprise will be facing once the film is out in theaters, starting May 15. Check it out above in full.

If you’ve seen the original TV series and films on which the rebooted film franchise is based, the video above will bring back some very fond memories.

In it, J.J. Abrams, the director of “Into Darkness,” uses themes often tackled in the original, that of the Prime Directive (which forbids any kind of interference in the development of an alien civilization) and how Spock is always the first to say that “the needs of many outweigh the needs of the few,” even if such a course of action would mean he’d die.

“Star Trek Into Darkness” stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, and Benedict Cumberbatch. It’s been dubbed the most anticipated release of the year.
