Just yesterday, Lucy Bradshaw was telling the press Spore will be equally fun for any kind of gamer. With the game due out in September this year for both Mac and iPhone, Worthplaying has posted new screen-grabs and videos of the upcoming "god game" designed by Will Wright.

Soon you too will be able to take your creature in the immense world provided by EA and Maxis where other players will be entering with their own creations and share them over SPORE's central servers. At one point, you will be ready to fly off into space with the little bugger (which might not be all that little once fully evolved), but you have a long way to go to get there.

Also, whether you want to be a good guy or a bad guy, it's totally up to you. Spore will let you use your creature to either colonize a new planet, or be friends with whomever you meet. Spore is much like The Sims, Executive Producer Lucy Bradshaw told GamersGlobal in an interview, because it allows you to "spend your time exploring the galaxy, terraforming worlds, contact[ing] other races - or drive right to the goal of the game."

Electronic Arts and Maxis confirmed last month the upcoming availability of a downloadable Spore demo. The duo also announced the full retail version of a "Spore Creature Creator," set for release June 17, 2008. The Spore Creature Creator will be the first opportunity for fans for a hands-on experience with Will Wright's highly anticipated "god game."

Best of all, if you like the creature you've designed with the Spore Creature Creator, you will be able to import it into the full version of Spore (for both Mac and PC), when it is released on September 5, 2008 in Europe and September 7, 2008 in North America.
