Splinter Cell: Blacklist has received a brand new gameplay video, showing off a variety of non-lethal takedowns that can be performed by the hero, Sam Fisher.

Splinter Cell games have put an emphasis on stealth and going through levels undetected but recent titles, like Conviction, have also featured plenty of mechanics that helped those who weren't that good at being sneaky.

The upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist will also have an emphasis on stealth and, in order to show off the different non-lethal takedowns that players can perform in the game, Ubisoft has just posted a special video with the title.

As you can see in the footage above, Sam Fisher can take out his enemies without killing them in all sorts of ways by sneaking up behind them or by employing different tactics.

The video also features some insight from Blacklist's Animation Director, Kristjan Zadziuk, who reveals just how important non-lethal takedowns are in the new Splinter Cell.

Blacklist is out for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 next year.
