With the iPhone 6 coming out mid-September, new rumors started to show up about Apple's future flagship device. Venture Beat News think they have a confirmed scoop on the next iPhone 6.

Take the following with a grain of salt. After all, the same Venture Beat News broke the story about the Apple and Swatch partnership that was thoroughly denied by both parties. Their new report doesn't say too much about the device that we didn't already know, but offers some more examples of rumors seemingly unrelated to Apple's way of working.

Venture Beat News says they will release two new phones this fall, and both will be announced on September 9. However, the 4.7-inch model will be ready to appear in stores a week after the event, while the 5.5-inch one will only show up a month later.

The rumors Venture Beat News heard are related to the display of future devices. They have reasons to believe, and the anonymous sources back up the story about a display harder than Gorilla Glass, but not as hard as sapphire.

The source cited mentions that the iPhone will get the new A8 chip and will run at a frequency of 2.0 GHz per core. The current A7 chip found in the iPhone 5s runs at only 1.3 GHz per core.

Now the rumors get a little crazy. Venture Beat News says the new iPhone will get a WiFi 802.11ac chip from Broadcom. The cellular modem in the next-generation iPhone will be provided by Qualcomm. The new modem will support Category 6 LTE, a technology capable of reaching 300 megabits per second.

An even crazier rumor suggests that the iPhone 6 will sport an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip so that it can be used as a mobile payment device. Apparently, the chip will be made by NXP.

There will be some improvements in the fingerprint reader and, to top it off, a new type of "secret handshake" between iPhone and Beats headphones. This means a chip inside the headset will be able to connect to the iPhone's lightning connector.

Crazy rumors aside, Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone in about a month from now. The device will be slightly larger than the current iPhone 5s and should have a larger capacity battery to power the bigger screen. We have seen a number of leaks so far that show the backside and the screen of the 4.7-inch display iPhone, but there are no parts to support the 5.5-inch display model.
