New Sony Xperia Phone Spotted in Ad Materials in Australia

Featuring a thin bezel, the handset might be announced soon

Australian retailer Harvey Norman has some Sony Xperia handsets available for purchase, and is currently advertising a price cut for the Xperia sola in a recently published catalog.

However, it seems that the company has attached the photo of a new Android smartphone from Sony to that ad, since the handset that can be seen there is clearly not the Xperia sola.

As XperiaBlog notes, the phone sports a very thin bezel, even slimmer than the one previously spotted for the Sony Xperia Z (C660X Yuga), which should become official in January.

The new phone is expected to be launched as a mid-range Xperia device featuring the same design as the Xperia ion, with three capacitive buttons at the bottom, but without the all-glass front as the existing device.

The yet unannounced phone might be unveiled soon, so stay tuned for more on this.
