Sony has just released a new firmware update for its PlayStation 4 gaming console. Version 1.52 comes to improve system software stability.

To install, download Sony PlayStation 4 Firmware 1.52 to a USB stick. Before that, format the memory drive and create a folder named “PS4.” Inside it, create another directory called “Update” and copy the “PS4UPDATE.PUP” file to it.

Turn off the power of your PS4 system completely and check that the power indicator is not lit. If it is lit up in orange, hold the power button for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps a second time).

Next, plug in the USB stick containing the firmware and press the power button for at least 7 seconds so that the PlayStation starts in safe mode.

On the next screen select “Update System Software” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Get the new firmware, install it, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
