During the ongoing year, mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson unveiled to the world a nice range of new devices running under Google's Android operating system, and one of them has caught a lot of attention, namely the Xperia PLAY, the first smartphone in the world to be PlayStation certified. The new device comes to the market with a 4-inch touchscreen display, which has been complemented by a sliding gamepad with the popular PlayStation controls on it.

The Xperia PLAY comes with all of the usual features that any other mobile phone running under Google OS would include.

However, when it comes to gaming, there is no other Android smartphone like it, and Sony Ericsson is determined to remind us of this each and every time it has the chance.

The video commercials the company released with the Xperia PLAY have been created based on this idea, and the latest video ad available with the phone is nowhere far from that.

Some of the previous ads we had the chance to view with the device were also focused on the gaming capabilities of this device, and the new one (available via Pocketnow) follows the pattern.

According to Sony Ericsson, the new mobile phone is capable of offering a real-life gaming experience, and the video below is a clear indicator of that.

The handset features of the new device would make it as appealing too, including the said touchscreen display, a fast application processor, and enhanced connectivity options.

The mobile phone comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with video recording capabilities, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space.

It would sport 3G connectivity, as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB connector, the usual set of sensors, and more.

The smartphone also comes with support for Google Mobile services, as well as for applications available for download via the Android Market.
