Sony was overdue to bring a new tablet to the market

Even if CES 2014 is under way and product unveilings are flooding us in, it doesn't mean we can’t look beyond Las Vegas.

Infamous leakster, @evleaks has apparently lost interested in CES 2014 and is moving its focus onto the next big thing, MWC 2014.

After making public some details about a purported Sony smartphone (Sirius), they have another one for us. Sony is reportedly gearing up to release a new tablet, code-named Castor.

Castor is supposed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM897AB SoC, just like Sirius. The device will apparently come in two versions 4G LTE and Wi-Fi, but that’s where the information flow stops, so I can't tell you more.

Sony hasn't refreshed its tablet portfolio ever since the Xperia Tablet Z so I’m very curious to see what Castor will bring to the table. And if we’re lucky enough, we might spot Castor this year at MWC.
