Video game publisher SEGA is teasing a new project featuring Sonic the Hedgehog, through one image. At the moment, the company is unwilling to offer any sort of details on what kind of experience it is working on.

The image attached to this article was first shown on the Twitter feed of the company and has since then also been posted on the official Facebook page.

The only message associated with it is "Soon."

Some gamers are speculating that the design of Sonic suggests a title that will be offered on Android devices or maybe on the Ouya home console, although that would be a surprise for a company as big as SEGA.

The most recent release in the franchise is Lost World, which was launched on the Nintendo-made Wii U and 3DS and failed to impress both fans and critics.
