During Microsoft's event at Gamescom 2010, MTV Games and Harmonix announced a new Dance Battle game mode and another set of songs for Dance Central.

Ten new tracks have been revealed to be part of Dance Central's playlist, including song by Cascada, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue or Nelly Furtado.

It may be worth remembering the previously announced Dance Central songs:

Dance Battle allows two players to see who is the best dancer by exchanging places during on of the title's songs and trying to beat each other's score. This is augmented by the environmental cues that are meant to easily point when a player is out of beat.

At E3 2010, two other mode were revealed: Break it Down! and Perform It! The former is meant to help player learn the various dance routines of the game which they will later string together in the latter.

Dance Central will be released sometime this holiday, after Kinect officially launches worldwide in November.
