Not long ago, eccentric artist Lady Gaga announced that she would re-issue her “Fame” album in a format that would make it stand apart from the first release. One of the things she would change on the repackaged edition would be to include eight new tracks, which she has already done. “Dance in the Dark,” the recently leaked new song, is also one of these new eight tracks.

“Bad Romance” is also a new inclusion on “The Fame: Monster,” bringing forth an edgier Gaga, together with a mixture of sounds that has been labeled as ridiculous as it’s awesome. “Dance in the Dark” is softer from this point of view, focusing less on aggressiveness and bearing the heavy mark of ‘80s disco, with synths and Madonna accents here and there. The result is an electro-pop track that is worthy of being turned into a single, critics believe – and fans whole-heartedly agree.

“Pop music’s current ‘it’ girl, Lady Gaga has recently launched another promotional single for her upcoming album ‘The Fame: Monster.’ The track, entitled ‘Dance In The Dark’ (produced by Fernando Garibay) is one of 8 songs that will be featured on her new project which she recently revealed is not a re-release as originally intended. Rather, the album will serve as her second official studio album. ‘The Fame: Monster’ hits stores on November 23rd,” ThatGrapeJuice writes.

“This song is basically another ‘Bad Romance’ but with more of an ‘80s twist. The lyrics are quite intriguing but the over-use of the synthesisers and keyboards makes the track sound more like a basic dance track. However, given the public’s obsession with everything Gaga at the moment (and the incessant promotion that she gets via certain other blogs), I have no doubt that the track will do well on the digital sales charts. It seems that almost everyone is going gaga for Gaga,” the same music-oriented e-zine further says.

Below is the full “Dance in the Dark” from Lady Gaga. The track has not yet been officially set for release, so make sure you keep an eye on this space for when it is.

Dance in the Dark is a great song - it shares a very similar theme to Lily Allen's "22", but with a more darker tone. The song is more than a basic dance track when you listen to the lyrics :)

This is my favorite out of all of GaGa's songs. Very wet and dark... makes you want to pull your hood over your head and step out into the night.
