Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, the new first-person shooter from City Interactive, has just received a brand new series of screenshots that show off the game’s impressive visuals in all sorts of environments, from jungles to more urban settings.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior was a decent game that placed a heavy emphasis on stealth and precision, instead of pure destruction, like in other first-person shooters.

With the sequel, Polish studio City Interactive is trying to deliver an even more intense experience, this time with a brand new graphics engine, thanks to the CryEngine 3 tech originally made by Crytek for Crysis 2.

In order to really show off the effects that are possible with the new graphics technology, the studio has released a new series of screenshots, which look extremely impressive.

As you can see in the gallery below, the game takes the player to all sorts of environments, from war-torn cities, to tropical jungles, and more.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is out in August for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
