As smartphone and tablets get more advanced and expensive, the imperative to coat them in special cases for protection, cannot be ignored.

As a result, people will often alternate between products like LifeProof, OtterBox, Griffin or TakTik. They might be all great in terms of safety, but a caveat arises here, the impossibility to find an appropriate charging dock. Customers are then left to choose between annoying solutions like dock extenders.

However, a new kickstarter project has apparently built a solution for these issues. Here is the Sarvi Dock, which is built of aluminum and can power up any mobile device with a standard type charge connector like a Micro-USB or 30-Pin.

The Sarvi Docks look like stands where you prop your coated device and come available in three different colors: white, black and fresh apple green.

The team behind the project is trying to get funding until November 12. So far interested parties can contribute for the Sarvi smartphone dock, which will become available for them for $25-$35 / €18-€26 a pop.
