Canadian mobile phone users should get ready to welcome a series of new handsets from Samsung that are reportedly heading for the market in their country. The upcoming availability of these devices, namely Samsung Galaxy, Omnia II and Impact, should follow rather shortly after the launch of Samsung Reclaim on Bell's airwaves.

The new mobile phone that can be purchased by the Canadians has already been released in the United States, where it is available in Sprint's offering. It comes as an eco-friendly device, and has been built out from recycled materials, which cover 80 percent of its parts. Coupled with an eco-friendly packaging, the device is set to prove one of the “greenest” mobile phones on the market.

Even so, it still sports enough features to attract users on its side. Thus, the phone's specs list shows a QVGA landscape display, as well as a full QWERTY keyboard that slides from under the screen, a 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS receiver, a 2-megapixel photo snapper, HTML browser, as well as a memory card slot that enables users to include up to 32GB of additional storage space.

All of these features, coupled with an affordable price, might show that the Samsung Reclaim is a great option when it comes to choosing a messaging handset available on the market. The device can be purchased from Bell for $49.95 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement, yet it can also be acquired free of contract, only that it costs $219.95 this way.

As for the other three handsets that Samsung should launch in Canada, mobilesyrup says that they are expected to arrive within the next 30 or 45 days. For what it's worth, Canadians will have some great handsets to choose from, as the Omnia II will probably come with Windows Mobile 6.5 on board, Galaxy with Google's Android operating system, while Impact will probably come as the successor of Samsung Instinct.
