Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington: you can see they mean business

Nothing spells trouble like a black and white poster. “Safe House,” the latest spy thriller starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, has just gotten a brand new poster and, yes, it's serious stuff.

The film is out in February this year and, because it's a mix of spy / cop thriller and typical action fare, the movie studio is really pushing the “serious” part of it – hence the poster.

Showing Reynolds and Washington with their Sunday frown on, the artwork does convey the impression of urgency and ultimate danger the two leads are going through as they try to carry their mission to term.

“A young CIA agent is tasked with looking after a fugitive in a safe house. But when the safe house is attacked, he finds himself on the run with his charge,” a short synopsis of “Safe House” reads.

Clearly, there's irony in the title since, as the poster says, “No one is safe.”
