David DeMartini, who is the leader of the EA Partners division, has stated that Respawn Entertainment, the company founded by ex Infinity Ward leaders Vince Zampella and Jason West, needs time in order to organize and decide on their next project before they can talk about it publicly to the media and their fans.

DeMartini told Eurogamer during a wide ranging interview that, “I know everybody is going to say, ‘Well what are they working on?’ The thing everybody needs to remember is they were starting at absolute zero.”

He added, “This is two guys who really know what they’re doing having to go find a place for the team, buy chairs and desks and furniture, find new technology from the ground up, and pull a team together.”

Administrative and organization linked tasks need to be performed well in order to have a well built team that can be efficient when working on game development.

DeMartini is also saying that the Respawn team is at the moment prototyping some ideas in order to see what fits them best and will only show what they have created when they are confident that they have a good idea and quality.

Vince Zampella and Jason West have left Infinity Ward earlier in the year over a conflict with publisher Activision over with who owned the rights to the Modern Warfare trademark and apparently withheld payments.

There were also rumors that the pair was working with Electronic Arts and soon after they left Infinity Ward they founded Respawn and announced that they are working on a new intellectual property.

The two have said that they do not yet known what kind of video game they will develop but DeMartini has stated that EA is confident that the new title will be a success.

A new Call of Duty game will arrive on November 9, created by developer Treyarch.
