A new flavor of the Rdio for Android application is now available for download for those who would like to take it for a spin and find bugs in it.

The company has just announced the availability of the software and has also detailed some of the changes that users will stumble upon.

“As a beta tester, you’ll notice an updated look and feel, including a redesigned player, new side-bar navigation, and a new remote control feature,” the company explains.

The team also notes that it will focus on providing various enhancements and fixes to the app during the beta period, which means that users will be receiving constant updates once feedback on the software starts pouring in.

People interested in joining the testing program should know that the existing version of the application loaded on their devices will be removed.

“It’s important to note that if you choose to beta test, the beta app download will replace your existing Rdio app, and quickly migrate your synced music,” the company also explains.

All those “tech savvy users” who would like to beta test the Rdio for Android application should head over to the Android Google Group for that.

Links to the beta version of the application will be provided to users through that Group. The company also notes that users should share their thoughts on the application directly with the team.

“We're inviting our tech savvy users to be the first to try the beta version of our new Android app and help us shape the next generation of Rdio for Android,” the team behind the application notes.

Provided that the testing period goes as planned, it should not be too long before the application arrives in the Google Play Store, so keep an eye on this space for further info on the matter.
