They are spread across the PRO, EVO and Standard product categories

Samsung appears to have decided that it was high time it had a change of image, at least when it comes to its memory cards.

That is why it introduced new PRO, EVO and Standard SD and microSD memory cards with new color choices.

The PRO is colored silver, the EVO is in orange (Samsung calls it romantic orange for some reason) and blue for Standard (Samsung calls it emerald blue, even though emeralds are green and the color here is more along the lines of light/sky blue than anything else).

The PRO and EVO reach 90 MB/s read and 48 MB/s write speeds (UHS-I Grade 1 compliance).

Samsung didn't go into details about the capabilities of the smaller cards, but it can be assumed that they are good enough to take fast burst shots and record videos in Full HD and maybe even 4K for the better ones.

All storage units can survive 24 hours in seawater and can withstand operating temperatures of -13°F to 185°F / -25°C to 85°C, and non-operating temperatures from- 40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C).

Anyway, the newcomers come in 4 GB to 64 GB capacities and will be used in digital/DSLR cameras, camcorders and mobile devices (most microSD for the last one). Prices will be revealed as soon as retailers list them (China, Europe, US and Korea, mainly).
