Windows Mobile phone users who were looking for new RSS software solutions for their handsets can now enjoy two new applications, YomoMedia, and Friendfeed, which has just gone into Beta. As there are not too many RSS solutions for mobile phones available out there, these two might prove to be rather useful to most WinMo users.

The first of them allows users to read their RSS feeds both on the smartphone and on the desktop. According to the company, also YomoMedia, the read status of articles will be updated instantly on both directions. In addition, the new software solution comes with support not only for usual RSS feeds, but for audio and video podcasts as well.

At the same time, the company says, the new solution allows users to set the frequency with which the feeds are updated, while also enabling them to discover new feeds or to share existing ones with their friends. One more feature that the software comes with is the fact that it retrieves the content on the phone, so that intermittent network connections won't affect the user experience in any way.

The second software solution that is now available for Windows Mobile, Friendfeed, which we learn that has just gone into Beta, comes with a wide range of features, including abilities to retrieve Home and Public feeds, User Configured Lists, subscribed rooms, as well as to refresh Feeds at a user-defined interval, to view attached images and media, or to navigate to links in your default web browser.

Those who would like to try out the Friendfeed for Windows Mobile will find it available for download for free on Softpedia as well, via this link, where a complete list of the features it comes with is also available. The YomoMedia RSS solution can be downloaded from Softpedia as well, via this link.
