New Point & Clicker from Daedelic Entertainment

Daedalic Entertainment, Hamburg-based publisher and developer of video games, has confirmed a new point & click adventure title for the PC. However, The Whispered World is quite far from a solid launch date, and far from the launch itself too, being scheduled to ship sometime at the end of 2008.

According to the official report, the new adventure game is going capture the imaginations of PC gamers with a truly fantastic story. Visuals are also said to be something else, but Daedelic makes no reference to any graphics engine or any sort of technology they're using for development, so we're just going to have to trust them on the "breathtaking graphics" thing. More than that, the only "visual" thing tied to the game right now is its official website which reveals nothing more than an ad for the game. But let's see what Daedelic has revealed about the game.

The company says that this great looking point & click title takes players to a fascinating fantasy world. Players will surely appreciate the beauty of the hand-painted backgrounds, filled with animated detail and nicely crafted characters, that literally bring the story of The Whispered World to life. The Hamburg-based development studio has also linked its game to Halloween, as the press release reads: "In a first artwork, the central characters have donned Halloween garb to wish gamers a happy Halloween."
