Sony has deployed a fresh video about its upcoming PlayStation Vita handheld console, this time taking a look at the social features that allow owners not just to play games with their friends, but also to connect with people around their area.

The PlayStation Vita is going to deliver the best handheld gaming experience ever, at least according to Sony, so the Japanese company wants to properly highlight all of its features ahead of the device’s North American and European launch, later this month.

In order to talk about the social features of the Vita, Sony has rounded up developers from titles like Wipeout 2048 or Reality Fighters, who’ve shared their thoughts on the variety of things you can do on the Vita.

Among the most important social aspects of the Vita are apps like Near, which shows other Vita owners in your vicinity, as well as the PlayStation Party, which allows players to talk to one another and even engage in different games.

Check out all of the Vita’s social features in the video above and get ready for its global release on February 22.
