14 DAY TRIAL // Come May this year, Tim Burton has another film out assembling the usual cast he's been working with for years, plus a few other notable additions. A new photo to promote “Dark Shadows” is now out – click to see it in full.
The film, which tells the story of a vampire who returns home, to his decrepit mansion and even more decrepit family, after 200 years, is one of the most hyped releases of 2012.
It stars Depp as the lead, opposite Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz, Gulliver McGrath and Jackie Earle Haley.
Speaking with MTV, Burton said he was at “the panicking stage” of the film; that is, it had gone into post-production for FX and was nearing completion, ahead of the spring release.
Judging by the photo, this is going to be “another Tim Burton movie,” with heavy atmosphere, eerie plot, startling color palette and some pretty wicked makeup, which can't but come as great news to fans.
“Dark Shadows” opens on May 11, 2012.
