A brand new petition has appeared online, asking Japanese publisher Sega to bring more of its already-released games onto the PC, including Bayonetta, Vanquish, or Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, as there's a lot of interest for these titles.

Sega has quite a lot of great PC-exclusive franchises, from the Football Manager series, to Total War or the recent Company of Heroes.

Even so, a big number of fans have decided to ask Sega to release other games from its catalog onto the PC, including Bayonetta, Vanquish, or Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.

According to the petition formed by these PC gamers, Sega has a wide variety of console exclusivities that would work great on the PC and that would generate a lot of interest among owners of the platform.

Check out some of their arguments in favor of PC releases below.

Bayonetta (PlatinumGames) – Recently, Konami and PlatinumGames appear to have found success in their PC port of the critically acclaimed Metal Gear Rising, which debuted on the first day of the Winter Steam sale just behind the million+ selling DayZ. We believe Bayonetta may be a solid fit for porting on the basis that it does share its engine with Metal Gear Rising, this may assist in developing the port and we believe that Metal Gear Rising serves as an example of the platform being able to support action games of this type.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown (SEGA AM2) - PC lacks a modern 3D fighter but has proven itself able to support the 3D fighting genre's counterpart, the 2D fighter e.g.: continued releases in the genre from Capcom/WB and the success of Skullgirls crowd funding campaign that predominantly relied upon PC gamers. On top of this we are aware that Final Showdown runs on the RingEdge board, which itself is powered by Windows Embedded Standard 2009.

Vanquish (PlatinumGames) - Quite possibly the best third person shooter of all-time and sharing its engine with Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising, which we hope may alleviate some of the porting duties, Vanquish is the title of these three initial suggestions that may best fit the PC platform due to the platform's historical strength in the shooter genre.

As of yet, however, Sega hasn't commented on the petition.
