A new petition concerning Grand Theft Auto 5's release on the PC has appeared on the web but, this time, instead of asking developer Rockstar to get GTA V onto the PC as soon as possible, gamers are demanding that the studio not release the title for that platform so that "PC gamers learn their lesson and stop stealing games."

Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to appear on September 17 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Based on rumors and Rockstar's track record, a PC version might be released in the future but, as of yet, the studio hasn't confirmed anything.

Petitions have asked Rockstar to consider a PC version of GTA V, but now a new initiative has appeared on Change.org, in which fans demand the studio not release GTA 5 onto the PC.

The reason is simple enough, according to their manifest: "so PC gamers learn their lesson and stop stealing games."

Apparently, the petition's starter and the almost 4,600 backers that supported it want to stop piracy on the PC by denying the platform one of its most anticipated games – Grand Theft Auto 5.

While many reasons given by the signers are purely out of spite for the gamers who want to play GTA V on the PC, others have found some arguments to support, by some degree, their position.

"Years ago, people just want GTA IV for their pc's... Rockstar has listen to them and make gta iv pc version... after that, their (sic) going to hate rockstar because (for them) gta iv on pc wasn't what they expect... now they don't deserve gta V!"

As of yet, Rockstar hasn't commented on this petition.

For what it's worth, the petition that calls for Rockstar to actually release GTA V onto the PC has 340,000 signatures.
