Pentax should focus on releasing a longer focal length telephoto zoom lens for the Q-mount

According to Ricoh's (Pentax) Q-mount lens lineup, the Nippon manufacturer is about to announce two new lenses for their Q-mount camera line.

These new lenses come to complete the lineup for every Q-mount mirrorless camera with the PENTAX 08 Wide Zoom Lens and HD PENTAX-DA 20-40mm F2.8-4 ED Limited DC WR.

Pentax offers three camera models for this type of interchangeable lens mount: Pentax Q, Q10 and the recently released Q7 model.

Until now, Pentax has released seven Q-mount lenses that mostly cover the wide end of the focal length, with only one telephoto zoom lens available on the market. That being said, I think they should concentrate their future efforts on manufacturing a better telephoto zoom lens that will cover a longer focal length.

While little is known about the upcoming lenses, a Japanese forum has found a picture of the upcoming HD PENTAX-DA 20-40mm F2.8-4 ED Limited DC WR lens.
