The new design style implemented in Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 System has migrated to the software packages themselves. While you will not be able to feast your eyes on
the packaged products on the shelves of a reseller near you for quite some time, here is a preview of what you should expect.

"With Windows Vista and 2007 Office system, we didn't just redesign the software packages themselves, but are also introducing new packaging for the two products. The packaging has been completely revised and, we hope, foreshadows the great experience that awaits you once you open it," said Nick White, Vista Product manager.

The images afferent to this article reveal the package design for Windows Vista Home Basic, Microsoft Office Professional 2007 and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. The redesign doesn't stop at a graphic concept level as the boxes themselves were overhauled to mirror Microsoft development efforts introduced to the products within.

"Designed to be user-friendly, the new packaging is a small, hard, plastic container that's designed to protect the software inside for life-long use. It provides a convenient and attractive place for you to permanently store both discs and documentation," added White.

But of course the redesign process will not come to an end with Vista Home Edition, Office Professional and Home and Student 2007. As I have said from the get go, this is just a preview. As far, the Redmond Company is not revealing the additional packages but we can expect something equally impressive.

"The new design will provide the strength, dimensional stability and impact resistance required when packaging software today. Our plan is to extend this packaging style to other Microsoft products after the launch of Windows Vista and 2007 Office system," concluded White.
