Norway-based Opera Software ASA is proud to announce that the dark winter has passed, allowing the company to find new bugs in its mobile browser, Opera Coast. Version 3.02 is out today for iOS devices containing some fixes.

According to the Opera Mobile Team blog, “We released a minor update to Opera Coast today. This is mainly a stability update with some small bug fixes that were found as the winter darkness in Norway passed.”

The Oslo-based company adds that Łukasz Pilorz from runic.pl was responsible for “finding and responsibly reporting an issue with Opera Coast [where] a malicious actor would be able to replace parts of a secure site, without Opera Coast warning the user.” Opera Coast 3.02 addresses this problem.

The Opera Coast web browser offers one heck of a touch-centric experience, dwarfing rivals Chrome and Safari in terms of quickly looking up stuff on the web, speed dials (bookmarks) etc. It has its limitations, but it’s probably the best mobile-tailored browser available for download today.

Its interface is localized in dozens of different languages, including (but not limited to) English, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and others.

To download Opera Coast you need iOS 6.0 and iPhone 3GS or newer, iPad second generation or newer, and iPod touch fourth generation or newer.
