Onkyo have been around in the field of nifty audio gadgets for quite a long time, and now and it looks like they're getting better and better with each passing year. While some (younger) customers refrain from buying Onkyo products because of their very classic and almost vintage appearance, discerning music enthusiasts are truly pleased with the respect this brand is showing to its own acclaimed heritage. Yet such an almost mystical faith in the old ways of manufacturing great audio gear means no obstacle in the way of modern technology: and Onkyo's latest miniature audio systems are one of the best pieces of evidence in this regard.

If you're looking for a sound system loaded with all the handy features you'd usually get from a larger rack, but coming at a fraction of the needed space, you should take a closer look at the T-series, enriched with the addition of the X-T2CR and X-T2 models.

Since Onkyo have remained faithful to some of the older music technologies, you'll probably not be surprised to find out that the X-T2 can handle MDs. The other version has been endowed with a CD drive, while both units sport the same acclaimed craftsmanship and the same top-drawer components and high-class engineering you've been accustomed to during the last decades.

Both systems sport AM and FM tuners and come with a special iPod cradle that will allow you to dock any generation of iPod. Even more, thanks to the special design of the available commands, you'll be able to fully control the iPod with your Onkyo wireless remote, making the listening experience an even more pleasant one.

Adding the A-OMF 80mm drivers inside the speakers and an overall diminutive footprint needed for installation, these new Onkyo mini-systems could very well be exactly what you were looking for for your bedside or office. No prices and no detailed specs are available so far, but they're expected soon.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
