Apple this week released new Mavericks updates for regular users and testers alike

Just a reminder for those of you who’ve been away from the computer this week, Apple has released new OS X Mavericks updates for the general population, including OS X 10.9.1 for all users, and a couple of standalone updates for specific hardware.

As expected, Apple this week rolled out OS X 10.9.1, the first incremental update for the latest Mac OS (Mavericks), fixing the most commonly-reported bugs, while adding a few extra improvements here and there.

Highlights from the OS X 10.9.1 release can be found below, as per Apple’s official documentation (on support.apple.com).

Separate OS X 10.9.1 builds have been released in the wild, including a standalone installer for the newest notebooks and the just-released Mac Pro workstations:

Safari 7.0.1 and Safari 6.1.1 were released for OS X Mavericks and OS X Lion, respectively.

Furthermore, Apple rolled out an EFI firmware update for the new Mac Pro released this Thursday, and a VPN update for OS X Server users.
