Via Support Downloads, Apple has released a couple of driver packages containing support for the latest printing and scanning hardware from Canon and Lexmark.
Canon Printer Drivers v2.11 for OS X “installs the latest software for your Canon printer or scanner,” while Lexmark Printer Driver v2.10 for OS X does the same for users of a printer or scanner from the people at Lexmark.
Apple offers this link for information on the latest printing and scanning software supported in OS X starting with Snow Leopard.
Canon Printer Drivers v2.11 for OS X weighs in at 342.52 MB and requires OS X 10.6.1 or later, OS X Lion, or OS X Mountain Lion.
Lexmark Printer Driver v2.10 for OS X occupies just 171.68 MB of space on your hard drive and requires Mountain Lion, OS X 10.6 or later, or X Lion 10.7.
