It also boasts a USB 2.0 hub and should be good for any 12-17-inch laptop

Summer is approaching, some even say it's almost here, which means that heat will be more of a problem than usual if you like to go outdoors with your notebook, just like sunlight.

And while it's not all that easy to solve the screen glare problem on notebooks, heat is easier to handle. Just buy a laptop cooling stand and you're all set.

In fact, Japanese company Green House has just introduced a laptop cooling stand, called GH-PCFA12.

Equipped with a 140 mm fan, the newcomer doesn't just run at the same speed all the time. You can adjust the speed to any value between 800 and 1,350 RPM (rotations per minute).

Also, while the USB connection to the laptop is primarily meant to supply energy, it also breaks off into two, making the USB 2.0 hub possible.

All in all, the $39 / €28 product should be able to chill the underside of any notebook measuring 12 to 17 inches in diagonal. It measures 140 x 140 x 18 mm after all (5.51 x 5.51 x 0.70 inches). On that note, the weight is of 710 grams / 1.56 pounds.

Alas, sales of the Green House GH-PCFA12 might be restricted to Japan for a while.
