Photobucket, the standalone photo and video sharing site, announced on Monday the introduction of a new free Nokia-compatible mobile photo application at the Ovi Store, meant to offer Nokia mobile phone users around the world the possibility to easily access images on the website, while also allowing them to access personal Photobucket albums.

The new application can be used on more than 20 most popular Nokia mobile phones, such as the Nokia N95 and Nokia E71, no matter what wireless carrier they are used with. Those who would like to benefit from the features of the new Photobucket mobile photo application can find it available for download at Ovi Store.

The application enables users to create a Photobucket account, log in to an existing one to access personal albums, browse and view photos on the site, upload new images, delete photos, or view and edit picture titles and descriptions. Not to mention that the app will also offer users the possibility to always stay up to date with what has been added to Photobucket.

Nokia is an outstanding brand known around the world and we are thrilled to be working with them to give their customers yet another way to access and interact with their favorite photos from their Nokia device,” said Alex Welch, president of Photobucket. “Over the past year, Photobucket has been committed to building the most comprehensive mobile service offerings in the US and this Nokia-compatible application empowers Photobucket users worldwide to share photos taken on Nokia devices that had previously been trapped on their handsets.”

Those who would like to download the Photobucket mobile photo application need to access the Nokia Ovi Store, where they should register a compatible Nokia phone. After that, all that remains to be done is search for the Photobucket app and download it for free on their devices.
