Nokia revealed today a new entry-level mobile phone, Nokia 3120 Classic, a device that offers "no-nonsense functionality" together with other Nokia specific features. The phone is created to answer the needs of consumers who want a reliable, easy to use phone that doesn't cost too much, and comes to consolidate Nokia's new line-up of affordable handsets (which includes models like Nokia 2135, Nokia 3500 and Nokia 3555).

This new 3120 Classic should not be confused with Nokia 3120, a phone that, although it received a great feedback in its time, dates from 2004 and is a bit obsolete today.

Nokia 3120 Classic offers an intuitive user interface, a large tactile keypad and a high-quality 2 inch QVGA display. The handset comes with 3G connectivity for fast and easy downloads, video streaming and web browsing. It packs a 2 Megapixel camera with flash, allowing users to take average-quality photos, and a secondary camera for video calls. Furthermore, the new 3120 Classic provides push email client, instant messaging and music player with support for most of the common formats (MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ etc.). The phone's memory can be expanded to 4 GB with a microSD card, so users will have enough space for their favorite music.

Nokia 3120 Classic weighs 85 grams and measures 111.3 x 45.4 x 13.4 mm, which is pretty slim, slimmer than most of Nokia's phones. However, it's a sure thing that 3120 Classic doesn't look bad at all.

According to the Finnish manufacturer, Nokia 3120 Classic will be released in select markets for a retail price of 150 Euro (about $220) starting the second quarter of 2008. The affordable candybar will be available in several color options: deep red, graphite, chestnut brown and plum / powder white.
