Without a doubt, solar power represents one of the best bets for our future as far as renewable, green types of energy are concerned, and for this reason, products that fully leverage its advantages, such as the Nokero N200 solar-charged light bulb, should become more and more popular in the coming years.

The Nokero company already has somewhat of a history in the field of solar-charged light bulbs, as they've released back in June 2010 their first solar-charged light bulb, the N100, which managed to sell fairly well (apparently, the company managed to push around 50,000 units off the shelves).

Their latest device, the N200, is described by Nokero as a small, lightweight, and durable lighting solution that will allow users to enjoy a good level of lighting for very long periods of time, while in the same time keeping the environment clean.

Furthermore, this thing should last for two years before the battery must be replaced, and once replaced, the recyclable, nickel-metal-hydride battery can keep the bulb functioning for five or more years, if well-cared for.

The Nokero N200 has three modes: On, Off, and Turbo-Task.

The bulb can last six or more hours on one day's charge, or 2.5 hours per night or more in Turbo-Task mode.

The Nokero's N200 single solar panel can be pivoted toward the sun to maximize charging efficiency in the day, and at night the light can be hung, or set inside to provide light.

Plus, it also sports a rain-proof body, so you won't have to run outside whenever a storm breaks out.

Pricing for the Nokero N200 solar-charged light-bulb has been set at just around 15 units a piece, which is, indeed, quite a bit more than an usual light-bulb, but the difference is quite well worth it, and sure to be covered by the lower power bill one will get after starting to use the N200.
