At its E3 2011 press conference Nintendo, the Japanese hardware maker and video game publisher, has announced that its next home console will be called Wii U and will allow gamers to experience their favorite titles in a whole new way thanks to its innovative controller.

[ADMARk=1]The justification for the name is that Nintendo plans to make the experience of the new home console all about the player, delivering something for all customer categories.

The new controller was the star of the Nintendo E3 2011 presentation and comes with two analog sticks for unique control precision, a control pad and a number of buttons.

The new Wii U will be able to play a number of mini games on the touch screen on the controller, influencing the bigger game experience which happens on a television.

The new controller also deliver rumble, has an incorporated microphone, small speakers, a gyroscope and a camera that faces the player and will be used to get his image into games.

Games can be moved from the big screen to the small one and the new controller also allows the Wii U to browse the Internet and make phone calls.

Nintendo says that the new controller will not have any latency and that it will deliver a smooth experience for players.

However they will not be able to take the controller and use it as a portable device.

Zelda was used to briefly show the impressive graphics quality of the new Wii U.

Initial rumors about the new Nintendo home console talked about something called Project Café, which was supposed to deliver the same computing power as the current PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, while also including a touch screen as part of a new controller, better able to deliver feedback to the gamer.
