Users who have purchased the new Nexus 7 tablet PC from Google have already received two software updates for their devices, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The first update will kick in as soon as the Android 4.3-based device connects to a Wi-Fi network, which usually happens during the initial setup process, Android Central reports.

After reboot, the new Nexus 7 will run under software version JWR66N, and the setup process will continue, it seems.

However, there’s also a second update that Google is pushing to the slate at the moment, featuring build number JSS15J. This update will be downloaded in the background and users will be prompted to install it as soon as this process is completed.

Apparently, both of these firmware versions are only minor updates, and should provide users with some performance enhancements and fixes.
