Just as Electronic Arts has gotten on their annual Madden update this weekend, a new NeedForSpeed title is being announced, indirectly of course, through a breath-taking, seconds-long trailer. While some haven't even gotten their mitts on Need For Speed Carbon, EA is throwing in yet another soon to be arcade-racing winner.

The video you have below is courtesy to GameVideos. The latest installment of the series is set to be fully unveiled at the end of the month and featured in both EGM and 1UP, as the latter reports. Now, although the developer is quite secretive about this latest installment in the racer series, you can tell a lot of things from the trailer.

One in particular is that cars will be totally stitched and patched. No, actually that's a lie. The trailer doesn't say that, although it shows a car ready to fall apart at any point. What does catch the eye is that one wrong move will mean everything in the next Need For Speed from EA.

The arcade-ish racer had damage before, only not under the form of a damage-bar - the car's looks are diminished, that's all. Now, as the trailer shows, one wrong move will send your car into the first parapet, totaling it. Although I'm not so sure that seeing the Game Over sign just like that will be such a thrill. Maybe not all will be lost... just half of the car's parts.

So, if you're a dangerous driver (which I hope you're not) and a Need For Speed series fan at the same time, the next installment from EA might just prove to be the video game of your dreams. Of course, everyone should keep in mind that next-gen games are up and EA is surely not missing out on this generation either, so prepare for the best looking, most dangerous, adrenaline packed arcade racer you'll ever be seeing in this lifetime.

Remember, more details will be disclosed by the developer towards the end of the month. Keep in touch!
