14 DAY TRIAL // U.S. Cellular is the latest wireless carrier in the United States to have made some changes to its plans, following the move made by Verizon Wireless and AT&T not too long ago. According to the mobile phone operator, the new unlimited national calling plans it has put in place for its users will offer them the possibility to stay connected with their family and friends at affordable costs.
The new plans have been already put in place starting with January 19, the carrier notes, adding that its customers can now choose the new Unlimited National Individual Plan that goes for only $69.99 a month, and which provides them with unlimited voice calls. Moreover, families can also benefit from a new offering from the carrier, with the new Unlimited National Family Plan with two lines included for only $119.99 per month, and with the possibility to add three more lines for $49.99 each.
The wireless operator also announced that its existing customers have the possibility to switch from their existing plans to the new ones with no contract extension being applied. “Our customers can combine the new calling plans with any of our unlimited messaging and data options and create the perfect plan to meet their individual needs,” said Alan D. Ferber, executive vice president of operations for U.S. Cellular. “We want to provide more value to make saving simple for our customers and let them know that we have their backs.”
According to U.S. Cellular, the company is proud to be able to meet the needs of its users. The carrier launched last year the first free Battery Swap program enabling users with old, useless or almost useless batteries to swap them out for fully-charged ones at any U.S. Cellular location. In addition, the operator introduced the free Overage Protection program through which its customers are alerted when reaching their voice and texting limits, so that any phone bill surprises are eliminated.
Other great options and features are available for U.S. Cellular's users as well, the carrier notes. The new plans can be purchased either online from the company's website, from any retail store or via phone from any customer care representative.
